Well, I guess I'll start with the good...Owen is completely potty trained! We are on our fifth day of being dry all day on outings, during naps, and even through the night! So, this month, we've been able to stop buying formula, baby food, and pullups!
I had to take him(primarily) to the pediatrician today. His excema is gotten really bad, the worst it's every been. Some of his spots even bleed! She told us to get some cortaid, use it three times a day and if we don't see any improvements in five days fill an elidill(sp?)prescription and go from there.
They all three got their flu shots. Well, Quinn got a shot, the other two got the nasal mist. Quinn weighs 21 pounds, Owen weighs 27 pounds, and Mason weighs 35 pounds. Since Owen is wearing undies, his pants are so saggy in the back:-)
My dad had his checkup yesterday for his hip that was replaced a couple of months ago. They've been keeping a close eye on him since they pretty much had to rebuild it up. The surgeon said he's never had to use as much bone grafting as he did in my dad. There were also nine screws to make it more stable. Well, yesterday's appt showed that one of the screws are broken and the cup part has rotated up. The surgeon wants to redo the surgery. He recommended a dr from Columbus for a second opinion, and is calling them to try and get him in before the holidays. On top of all that worry, my dad is also worrying about his job because they are closing a Cooper plant in the U.S. and it's in between the Findlay and the Albany, GA one. He also needs his other hip replaced next summer. This last one was my dad's fifth hip replacement and he's 56 years old. Since he was so young when he got his first set (21), the bone loss has been so tremendous. He developed a rare muscle disease when he was 21, and the only way to treat it was with steroids. They weren't sure what it was going to do to his body, so the steroids saved his life, but left him with deteriorated hips. Please add my dad to your prayers.
